Harmonization of Inspection and Certification Systems for Indonesian-Flagged Ships

Minister of Transportation has issued the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 7 of 2024 on the Harmonization of Inspection and Certification Systems for Indonesian-Flagged Vessels, aiming to streamline the inspection and certification processes for Indonesian-flagged vessels. This regulation is a significant step towards enhancing maritime safety and ensuring uniformity in ship certification services. Starting 21 September 2024, all Indonesian-flagged vessels will undergo standardized inspection schedules and certification validity periods, tailored to the type and size of each ship. This change is expected to boost efficiency and address public demands for consistent safety standards across our maritime fleet.
