As the Indonesian Government has been planning to put an end to the moratorium of Fintech Peer-to-Peer Lending ("FP2PL") Organizer registration , it is noteworthy to look back at the existing regulation on FP2PL to see whether our Government is indeed ready to put its shield up for the public interests. Specifically, to ensure that FP2PL platform users' financial safety and personal data are protected. In 2022, the Financial Services Authority ("OJK") issued the Regulation Number 10/POJK.05/2022 on Information Technology-Based Co-Funding Services which was amended by Regulation Number 22 of 2023 ("OJK Reg. 10/2022"), while in the middle of moratorium phase as the substitute for a long-standing similar OJK Regulation which was issued in 2016.
